New Ferrari LaFerrari HD First Commercial New Car Review 2013
LaFerrari (also known as F70, and by its project name, F150) is the name of the limited edition hybrid sports car built by Ferrari.[3] The car, and its name, were officially unveiled at the 2013 Geneva Auto Show. It is based on findings from testing of the Ferrari FXX[3] and on research being conducted by the Millechili Project at the University of Modena. Association with the Millechili Project led to speculation during development that the car would weigh 1,000 kg (2,205 lb) or less.[4] The LaFerrari is the first hybrid electric vehicle from Ferrari, providing the highest horsepower of any Ferrari while decreasing fuel consumption by 40 percent.[5] The LaFerrari's V12 will have a 6.3 litre capacity with over 800 hp and will be supplemented by a 163 hp KERS unit, able to be used in short bursts.[6] Ferrari states that the car has a top speed exceeding 350 kilometres per hour (220 mph), with a 0-to-100-kilometre-per-hour (0 to 62 mph) time of less than three seconds.[1] There will be 499 copies made.[7] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LaFerrari The 2013 Ferrari LaFerrari is the successor to the Enzo Ferrari which is a 12 cylinder mid-engine berlinetta named after the company's founder, Enzo Ferrari.[1] It was built in 2002 using Formula One technology, such as a carbon-fibre body, F1-style electrohydraulic shift transmission, and Carbon fibre-reinforced Silicon Carbide (C/SiC) ceramic composite disc brakes. Also used are technologies not allowed in F1 such as active aerodynamics and traction control. After a downforce of 7600N(1700lb) is reached at 300 km/h (186 mph) the rear wing is actuated by computer to maintain that downforce.[citation needed] The Enzo's V12 engine is the first of a new generation for Ferrari. It is based on the architecture of the V8 found in sister-company Maserati's Quattroporte, using the same basic architecture and 104 mm (4.1 in) bore spacing. This design will replace the former architectures seen in V12 and V8 engines used in most other contemporary Ferraris. The 2005 F430 is the second Ferrari to get a version of this new powerplant. In 2004, American magazine Sports Car International named the Enzo Ferrari number three on their list of Top Sports Cars of the 2000s. American magazine Motor Trend Classic named the Enzo as number four in their list of the ten "Greatest Ferraris of all time". However, the Enzo was described as one of the "Fifty Ugliest Cars of the Past 50 Years", as Bloomberg Businessweek cited its superfluous curves and angles as too flashy, particularly the V-shaped hood, scooped-out doors, and bulbous windshield. The Enzo can accelerate to 60 mph (97 km/h) in 3.14 seconds[12] and can reach 100 mph (160 km/h) in 6.6 seconds.[7] The ¼ mile (~400 m) time is 11.0 at 136 mph (219 km/h) and the top speed has been recorded to be as high as 355 kilometres per hour (221 mph).[13] It is rated at 12 miles per US gallon (20 L/100 km; 14 mpg-imp) in the city and 18 miles per US gallon (13 L/100 km; 22 mpg-imp) on the highway. Despite the Enzo's extraordinary performance and price, the Ferrari 430 Scuderia (an improved version of Ferrari's standard F430 production car) is capable of lapping the Ferrari test track just as quickly as the Enzo.[14] Evo magazine tested the Enzo on the famed Nordschleife Circuit and ran a 7:25.21 lap time. The Enzo in the test had a broken electronic damper.

BMW M5 Sports Sedan 2014
As expected, BMW has unveiled its 2014 M5 sports sedan, giving it a rather quick update to the new body style that debuted just a year ago. The changes are rather subtle for the 4.4-liter V8 powered sedan with 560 hp. Mated to a seven-speed M dual-clutch transmission, the new M5 can also be had with a Competition Package that cranks power output to 575 hp. As for changes, the front kidney grilles now feature the double-spoke slat design found on the M6 while there is now an added option for Adaptive LED Headlights. Standard on the 2014 M5 are redesigned taillights with strikingly thin LED strips. Inside, the M leather steering wheel gets a redesign while storage has grown in volume under the armrest in the center console area. Chrome trim is now seen on the Control Display and for the first time, the German automaker is offering an optional Touch Controller for the infotainment system. BMW Individual will offer new exterior color shades for the 2014 M5 including Pure Metal Silver, Pyrite Brown metallic, Frozen Blue metallic, and other matte finishes. Exclusive leather shades include Cashmere Beige and Nutmeg. Pricing for the 2014 BMW M5 was not announced.

Lamborghini Egoista
Lamborghini Egoista Photos: Single-Seater Supercar Celebrates 50 Years of Extreme Styling Lamborghini’s newest and most outrageous creation yet is built with a singular purpose, namely, pleasing the driver. As a result, there’s no room for anyone besides the lucky individual holding the steering wheel in their hands. Called the Egoista (which, translated means “selfish”) the name says it all, with a singular focus on the individual owner. With just one-seat, it takes inspiration from fighter jets, with a cockpit that opens at the top and a head-up display dominating the view out front. Unveiled last night at the closing ceremonies to Lamborghini’s 50th anniversary celebration, company CEO Stephen Winkelmann drove the wild creation onto the stage in front of a gathering of owners and brand loyalists. Reportedly based on the Gallardo chassis it is powered by the brand’s 5.2-liter V10 engine which makes as much as 570 hp in certain models. The creation of VW Group design boss Walter de Silva it’s not yet clear if the Egoista is simply styling concept or the next in a line of low volume production specialties for those looking for a truly unique machine

Limited edition GTA Spano Supercar 2013
Spanish supercar manufacturer GTA Motor, now known as Spania GTA, has a passion for the Geneva Motor Show.
In 2011, the firm displayed its original Spano supercar concept, and this was followed up by the debut of the production-ready version at the Geneva show in 2012.
For the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, which takes place this week, Spania GTA rolled out a new limited edition Spano, which it calls the GTA Spano.
Only 99 examples will be built, assuming Spania GTA finds enough buyers, and all of them will come with a 900-horsepower rating. That’s slightly more than the regular Spano’s 840-horsepower output.
Spania GTA says owners can expect a 0-62 mph time of 2.9 seconds and a top speed of over 217 mph.
The new limited edition model also showcases some minor tweaks made to the Spano since its reveal last year, with the car having received a new engine cover and a much improved interior.
All Spano supercars are built around a lightweight chassis composed of carbon fiber, titanium and Kevlar. They draw their power from a mid-mounted, 8.3-liter V-10 engine, and drive goes to the rear wheels via a seven-speed sequential gearbox.
With a curb weight of just under 3,000 pounds, the Spano should certainly be an exciting drive, though we can’t confirm that yet.
Note, Spania GTA is already working on additional Spano variants. One of these is said to be a track-focused Spano R rated at up to 1,200 horsepower and another is tipped to be a new Spano Spyder convertible.

Abu Dhabi’s Solid Gold "Biofuel" Mercedes
How un-green? Not only an over-the-top luxury car, but made from white gold! So what if it can run on biofuel.
Are the United Arab Emirate states being over-the-top extravagant
when purchasing super luxury cars? Word has it that an Abu Dhabi
billionaire is the proud owner of a Mercedes V10 Quad Turbo sports job
that has a body made of white gold! Not gold paint, but gold alloy
sheet metal. Do these kinds of luxuries find any parallel with the
similarly over-the-top “eco” projects happening in the region, like The World islands and Masdar City?
The specially made car features a newly developed V10 quad turbo with 1,600 horsepower and 2800nm of torque. It is said to be able to go from 0-100km/h in less than 2 seconds, and can go a 1/4 mile in 6.89 seconds running on biofuel. But seriously folks, is it even relevant to talk about biofuel in the face of such an item?
Cost of this “jewelry store on wheels” is reported to be $2.5 million USD – or enough money to feed the poorer populations of many Arab countries for months.
Oil rich Emirates in the UAE have been known to spend large sums of money on all kinds of extravagant projects including what has been billed as the largest and most expensive indoor ski complex in the world, Ski Dubai, the world’s tallest building, Burj Khalifa Tower (all 158 stories of it) Abu Dhabi’s now being constructed luxurious Al Reem Island (said to be a playground for the wealthy); and what may be the only truly environmental sustainable project, Masdar City, which is also in the early stages of construction.
